My Little Companions
Here are my figma archetypes! I bought them off the internet a few months ago and knew the moment that I received it that it was fake. Well, I got it for a very cheap price and very much expected receiving and fake one, so I'd say it was definitely a good deal since it looks really nice and functions properly. I'm no collector of figmas and I certainly don't mind if it's fake or not since I only use them for references. But heeey, it looks pretty good right :3
Figma Archetype: She
My apologies for the picture on the left as it is out of focus. I just couldn't get it to focus >_<
Here she is! She's pretty ripped and looks very badass~ These little guys come in different colors, grey, flesh (the one I got), and very very bright orange. I was a bit torn which color to get but I was pretty sure I don't want the orange one. The orange one was made specifically for the 15th anniversary. It's cool and all but not very practical for drawing reference.
It came in a very flimsy case. Thankfully, it wasn't damaged through the shipping. It comes with 2 different pairs of hand, closed fists and a slighty opened one designed for it to hold something; and an extra pair of feet which toes are not movable. It also came with a stand and a manual (which I haven't read yet).
It's all good but a few limbs easily pops off and the neck was very looong. I fixed it by cutting some of the neck off :x Just recently, I broke the joints in the neck. I glued it back on hehe Well, I had to choose, right? Either I get a headless figma or one with a stiff neck :3
The joints on one knee was very loose. I tried fixing it with various stuff I found on internet but ended up taping it.
Again, I'm very sorry it's not in focus >_<
Well, these scars are proof that I always use them, right? :3
A friend of mine bought a legit figma and it was on a different level. The joints were perfectly smooth and no matter how rough you get with it, the limbs almost never comes off. The only downside to it is that she got a transparent one. It was the only version available. Again, it's really cool and all but not very practical for reference.
I guess a fake one can only do this much but I'm actually really happy with it. I bought it using my savings from my daily allowance (which was very little savings because I like to eat out a lot) and this is by far the happiest purchase that I did using my savings :)
Well, off to the next!
Figma Archetype: He
Here's my machoman! If the female one was ripped, this one is shredded! I haven't use this one as much as the female one since it's not so often that I draw guys.
This guy came in the same flimsy case. I'm pretty sure it got the wrong case since this case says 15th anniversary on it. Not that I mind though haha The contents was pretty much the same with the female version. 2 extra pair of hands, an extra pair of feet, stand, and a manual.
Same with the female version, a few limbs easily comes off. This one is pretty new and rarely used so it doesn't have stiff neck and taped limbs (yet).

I got the same set, only its black. Haven't set them up yet because my room is a mess and always hungry for space. I do recommend you learn, dynamic figure drawing and gesture drawing with that set. The learning materials are available in pdf, google all the way.
Mine isn't set up as well as I don't want to take chances of them breaking or getting dirty. Practicing and familiarizing myself with the human body was my very reason when I bought them! Too bad I haven't really studied it enough to know the know the details down to the littlest ones yet :3

I've always wanted to buy a set of these, I think i've held off for so long just because I'm looking for models that are more anatomically correct. I'm way too lazy to make my own modifications lol.
You should definitely get one! It’s really worth it getting one of these. If you’d like a more accurate one, there are always different reviews on different models :3 As for me, I’ll stick with the ones that fits my budget hehe (figma archetype: next is pretty good in my opinion, despite not being authentic)
