More Komodo dragons from Rinca Island, Indonesia
Hello Steemians,
This is another video of Komodo dragons from the Rinca Island, Komodo National Park, Indonesia, which I took on July 2009, that I would like to share with you.
Science trivia: the Komodo dragon has a forked tongue; that gives him the ability to taste the air scents "in stereo", i.e. it can detect not only that prey is near, but also which direction it's heading for.
That's another evolutionary advantage of a top predator species.
And just how mean can Komodo dragons get? Oh, they can get VERY mean. Just ask Mr Bond.
