La Femme En Noir tarantula promotional video!
Hey, Steemit/@dtube! I’m holed up in @caffetto late working on some La Femme En Noir product photos. I’ve gone on and on about how fortunate I feel to work for this brand. I met @michelinepitt in 2014 and we’ve remained friends through her starting Vixen and La Femme En Noir. Of the two brands, LFEN is much more my style and esthetic as a photographer. One of the problems we’ve encountered, though, is that my darker style of photography on black dresses and gowns, was difficult to show detail.
Micheline, Lynh […the other partner in the company] and I, discussed ways to show off more of the subtle details of the designs, while still keeping my darker esthetic of the images in tact. What we came up with was an initiative to shoot photos and videos closer to the fabric and stitchings. One of the newest spring designs features a gorgeous, hand sewn spider with gold thread and red stone eyes. As we discussed the shoot, I mentioned that @vermillionfox and I do have a pet tarantula named Frank.
The decision was made to test this approach out using Frank, our family pet, crawling across the fabric, offering a closer look at the garments, while still offering a rich and interesting compliment […while still honoring the gothic, dark beauty that makes La Femme En Noir such a unique brand]. This video is the result of our attempts to solve a problem and showcase the remarkable care and craftsmanship that goes in to the La Femme En Noir collection.

Well @kommienezuspadt they certainly have chosen the correct photographer for this retail line! Your style is perfect for this.
I love animals and bugs etc. I've kept things as pets since I could walk and catch a butterfly or bettle. I even used to keep house spiders in jars on my bedroom window when I was small and feed them things I'd catch. Yet the one pet I've never desired was the tarantula. I'm not sure why, I'm not really squeamish or afraid of spiders, but I think someone once told me if you drop one they shatter like a vase, I have no idea if this is true, but I wonder if that is why I have never felt inclined to have one as a pet.
I think I'm also more drawn to warm blooded animals, dogs, cats, chickens, quail, ducks, rabbits etc etc. Maybe being cold blooded myself I prefer the warm in animals ;)

His work is incredible because over the years he finds those friendships that he knew from his beginnings.
