Promoting busy.org in Africa starting with Nigeria

Introduction

Getting busy in a busy environment and getting rewarded for being busy is amazing. Busy.org provides a way for users to share articles of their day-to-day busy activities and reward their efforts either by the fast growing number of people in the community or from their busy account.


MY WORK AS AN INFLUENCER:

I'm enthusiastic about promoting open source projects especially projects that are linked to steemit by the steem blockchain.


SOCIAL ACCOUNTS I UTILIZE:

The social media accounts I have are Facebook, Instagram and Whatsapp.
Facebook is the commonest out of all of the aforementioned hence it is the social account I interact with more often.


WHY I'M HELPING BUSY.ORG GO VIRAL:

Before I joined steemit and then getting to know about busy, I was a heavy user of social media. Almost half my day is spent on social media making comments , writing posts and interacting with people until I saw a promotion made by a user of steemit on facebook and I got involved. Since then I've gotten value for my time spent online doing same thing I did on other social media platforms before now.
I'm promoting this project busy.org especially in Nigeria because Nigerians are very active people on social media. Virtually all social media platforms contains at least a single Nigerian that is active. By promoting busy.org I'm creating an awareness of the platform that they can perform same social activities and maximize their time on social space with the hope of being rewarded by it. This promotion will also lead to the explain and growth of the busy platform. As it is often said, the more the merrier.



Audience

I'm keen on reaching out to the whole of Africa about busy.org but great accomplishments can start in small packs. I decided for this first promotion of the busy platform, Nigeria will be my starting point boasting of the largest population in Africa with over 150 million citizens.

The targeted audience for this promotion

  • Population= 7,000,000 people
  • Age range= 13-65 years of age
  • Location= Nigeria


Activity

This is my first campaign created for promoting busy.org.
To reach out to my targeted audience, I made a post on my facebook page introducing the busy concept and all it entails. The post contained links that will lead the people reached by the promotion directly to the signup page on busy.org. This facebook post was boosted with some amount of money to serve as a catalyst to reach out to people quickly.

An estimate of #5,600 was used to carry out this activity which is a round up estimate of $16USD
This amount was split among 4 boosts carried out

Result

From the campaign carried out to create an awareness of busy.org in Nigeria, I reached a total of 5,610 persons and this was achieved with 4 boosts

RESULTS FROM THE FIRST BOOST

With the first boost I was able to reach a total of 1,604 people and I had 890 engagements.

From the charts shown above, it shows that people between the age range 13-17 years were more keen about busy.org.
In total men were reached more than women having a total reachability percentage of 64.7% while women had 35.3% across all age ranges.

A total of #1,226 was spent on this boost which is an equivalent of $4USD


SECOND BOOST

With the second boost I was able to reach a total of 473 people and I had 210 engagements.

From the charts shown above, it shows again that people between the age range 13-17 years were more keen about busy.org.
In total men were reached more than women having a total reachability percentage of 62.4% while women had 37.6% across all age ranges.
A total of #310 was spent which is an equivalent of $1USD


THIRD BOOST

With the third boost I was able to reach a total of 1,945 people and I had 973 engagements.

As it has been in the previous boosts shown above people between the age range 13-17 years were more keen about busy.org.
In total men were reached more than women having a total reachability percentage of 64.4% while women had 35.6% across all age ranges.
A total of #1,530 was spent which is an equivalent of $5USD


FOURTH BOOST

With the fourth boost I was able to reach a total of 2,101 people and I had 980 engagements.

In this boost more men within the age range 18-24 years were reached.
In total men were reached more than women having a total reachability percentage of 66.9% while women had 33.1% across all age ranges.
A total of #1,772 was spent which is an equivalent of $6USD
