A new Steemer's story

Hello Steemers! My humble story with Steem began; like many of you, as an investment opportunity. When I came upon Steem in April, it was looking good. Really good. So, I bought 50 Steem at 88 cents. A bargain!

Then it hit me, Steem power! Thinking I might move a little Steem around at it's recent spike over $2.50 I went through the process of Powering Down, and let the first process happen sadly, literally letting Steem escape into my Steem wallet. It sat there and I pondered cashing out or moving some Steem into another alt coin, yet something tempted me to keep it there. In fact, I was compelled to push it back into Steem power, all my Steem in fact, and then shortly after write about it. Because, after a second thought I realized-

Steem is the next big thing. In case you didn't already know.

Move over Facebook, Reddit and Pinterest. Steem may have corrected for a time, but IMHO Steem's about to moonshot. And I think many fellow Steemers and I are about to ride the wave.

The three sites I mentioned and so many more just like them consume so much resources. So many people's time and energy and all that effort gets spent generating revenue for those site developers. It's all but a forgone conclusion that Steem will redirect a significant portion of their traffic this-a-way, given some time. The content. The community. The cold hard cash. You want to generate content for sites like Facebook? OK fine, but I think you'll soon be alone posting selfies to yourself once your friends and family discover Steem and they start making money doing what they already did for free.
