I ALWAYS draw the nose first.. Don't ask me why but I do!

Next comes the eyes. Generally I leave the pupils for later...

A mouth is added and it start to take form as a human face!

Next step is to set how wide you want the head and draw the ear.

Add the outline of the hair! (Also maybe give @ned a nose job... oops!)

Even for "simple" drawings you always add that little bit of extra sexy!

I cannot stress enough how much adding small details in everything counts.

Make sure to use colors that suit the situation. (pun intended, and terrible)

Always make sure to add your own flair to your art!

A History of @ned and @klye

First time I ever met @ned I was just fresh into the old Steemit Slack and It was just around the time that hackers had managed to gain access to a bunch of stuff in an older version of steem. At the time I didn't really figure myself much more than a troll/asshat and so began the classic "trollhorns" skit, causing a bunch of chaos and generally just being a pain in the ass. Now instead of just cracking me with a banhammer (like I admit I'd likely have done at the time) he politely told me to not cause the FUD (Fear Uncertainty Doubt) and instead try and learn more about the situation to help educate others about the situation and help the platform.

To be honest I had NO idea I was talking to the CEO of Steemit. When I was told later I was blown away by Ned's ability to diffuse my own meandering trolling and convert me into a true Steemit believer.

The second time I met @ned it was reporting a bug I'd found shortly after they'd implemented the first reputation system. I dinged him on the slack and to my surprise he answered within a few seconds. I reported the bug and that was that. In hindsight I should have probably contacted one of the coders of the Steemit team rather than Ned... But he answered and got what needed fixed passed along.
