How Steem-Roller.com Investment Leverage Works

Had a decent amount of users come onto Steem-Roller.com recently that were inquisitive about how the bankroll investment leverage on site works. So until the time has passed where a proper write up about the site's bankroll leverage is implemented folks will be referred to this post on our STEEM network.

What is Leverage?

According to the well known investment site that is known as www.investopedia.com the term leverage in regards to financial matter is used to portray the following idea:

However rather than using borrowed capital as a funding source as stated above Steem-Roller.com instead uses a form of operating leverage in which the investors exposure to risk and potential profits are increased as they use higher leverage percentages on their investments. Currently the site offers the ability to apply up to 50x leverage on a users bankroll investment which in laymens terms means that a person could invest 1 STEEM into the bankroll but after applying a 50x leverage their investment would act as if it is actually 50 STEEM in the bankroll. Of course with this comes the chance to realize 50x more profit, but also your investment is at a 50x chance for losses too if gamblers happen to get lucky and win large amounts.

How to Invest & Use Leverage

First off, before investing in the site you must deposit STEEM into your account balance. This can be done easily by clicking the deposit button in the top right corner of the site as pictured and pointed out with a red arrow, then following the instructions.

Once your deposit has arrived (~ normally 5-15 seconds after sent ) you can go to the invest tab pictured below and then enter the amount you wish to invest, then set your leverage using the slider bar. The image below is labeled to help with the steps.

Click invest tab
Enter Amount to Invest
Click "Invest" or "Invest All" button
Set Investment leverage with Slider

Done!

If you followed the steps above you should now be invested in the bankroll of Steem-Roller.com with your leverage set as specified. You can invest and divest as much as you like as well as set your leverage whenever you wish.
