Steemit is a platform that enables users to share original content and make money from doing that.

What is Proof of Brain?

Proof of brain simply means that any content a user shares to this platform should be original, original in the sense that it should be free from plagiarism and the ideas in the post should come directly from the persons brain. You can post stuffs on football, food, pets, music depending on what you enjoy doing on different communities on steemit.

Plagiarism is a serious offence therefore anytime a user uses someone's else work, content or material he/she should do well to give due recommendation or credit to the owner of the original post or work.

So what is the meaning of plagiarism.

Plagiarism simply means copying someone's work without giving out due credit or recommendation to them. When you refer to someone's work as your own without proper referencing them you have committed theft.
Plagiarism is a serious offence in the writing world and on steemit it is not accepted at all.

Citation

Citation means to reference. When you give reference to original words, contents and posts that are not from you you have. For instance when i provide a link to the google page where i got an information from then i have given a form of citation.

Why do we add source to images?

Images are a sure way to make a post look appealing to the eyes, easy to understand and quite professional. In steemit it is very appropriate to source an image as that will show readers where you got the image from and to also show that image was not yours originally.
