THE RICH PAUPER
The society we live in today has created a very big gap between the rich and the poor, while the rich are respected, the poor are seen as scumbags and no one wants to associate with them.
This gap has led a lot of young people today into living fake lives, so that they can be accepted within a particular circle of friends. We want to be accepted amongst the rich, those who we think are respected in the society, so that we can also be respected.
Today we see a lot of young girls who borrow clothes, borrow shoes and borrow virtually every thing just to snap pictures and post on Facebook, Instagram, and other social media platforms, so that they can be seen as SLAY QUEENS
The above images shows a poor man laboring even at a very old age to make sure he can pay his child's fees at school, only for the child to go to school and tell stories of his father being a rich politician, or industrialist just so that he can be accepted into a circle of high class school friends, denying his parents and root in the process.
Some of us go as far as denying our friends that we grew up with, friends that have been a part of our lives all through our growing years just to be identified with a click that we don't belong to.
So many have been lured into different social vices just to maintain that fake front. Girls have taken to prostitution just so that they can maintain the classy chic personality they have created. Guys have taken to crimes like drug dealing, armed robbery, kidnapping, and lots more just to be seen as big boys in the society.
The truth is, no matter how fake we try to live our lives, we can't run away from our roots. A wise man once said:
The repetition of lies does not make it the truth.
In the movie: LOVE DON'T COST A THING, Alvin Johnson when he discovered that at the end of the day it is who we truly are that matters, he went back to his friends and quit the faking.
We should learn that it is not living a fake life that makes you a great man, no, it only makes you A RICH PAUPER.
The moment those vices which you engage in to maintain your fake front are exposed, the same society you are trying to warm up to, the same circle of friends you are fighting to belong to, turns their back on you. If you doubt me ask all those busted/arrested criminals.
If you want to be accepted by the society, just be true to yourself and then strive to be a better person, better than where you were yesterday, and better than where you are today, then the society would definitely accept and welcome you with both hands.

If you paint lies in gold, it is still lies. Some ho some day it will be exposed. Keep steeming.
Exactly brother, the most beautiful thing one can do for himself is just being true to oneself
Many people also live fake life because of peer pressure.
When we succumb to peer pressure, and probably join some social vices to keep up the vibe, when it backfires those putting us under pressure desert us and we are left alone
who we are is just like our shadow, it will follow us everywhere
We all need to cut our coat according to our cloth. While it's not bad to associate with those higher than us in the strata. we mustn't do so at the expense of those who have always been there for us.
Even the rich cry
Staying original is divine and would give one a revenue to grow
