Welcome Dear Steemians, to an episode of #inventions!

It has been such a long time since I did my first one but I still feel like its going to work better now. Since back then I had just a few followers. Hopefully, it gets some love!

Nikola Tesla

Nikola Tesla was a Serbian-American born on July 10, 1856, Smiljan - Croatia. @inventor16, electrical engineer, mechanical engineer, physicist, and @futurist would be the best word to describe this genius man! I will talk about one of his contributions and that is the LASER. I'm sure most people have no idea who actually invented things that we use, that make our world easier to handle and just a better place to be. No worries we learn our whole life. Whats funny, Nikola Tesla was in my opinion, the real @prophet. Who really saw what is needed and how will things develop in the future. I will write more about his other #inventions and also his story in my next episodes because it's really amazing!

More great minds were on board with this project but what is actually a laser=? It is a device that uses stimulated emission to generate or amplify electromagnetic radiation in the near X-ray or extreme ultraviolet region of the spectrum, that is, usually on the order of several of tens of nanometers (nm) wavelength. Because of high gain in the lasing medium, short upper-state lifetimes (1–100 ps), and problems associated with construction of mirrors that could reflect X-rays, X-ray lasers usually operate without mirrors; the beam of X-rays is generated by a single pass through the gain medium. The emitted radiation, based on amplified spontaneous emission, has relatively low spatial coherence. The line is mostly Doppler broadened, which depends on the ions' temperature. As the common visible-light laser transitions between electronic or vibrational states correspond to energies up to only about 10 eV, different active media are needed for X-ray lasers. Again, different active media — excited atomic nuclei — must be used if yet higher frequency, gamma-ray lasers are to be constructed. Between 1978 and 1988 in Project Excalibur, the U.S. military attempted to develop a nuclear explosion-pumped X-ray laser for ballistic missile defense as part of the "Star Wars" Strategic Defense Initiative (SDI).

This is how I see it...

A laser itself is undeniably beneficial in every way if we use it right, and no, I'm not just talking about toys.

Lasers have transformed surgical applications and made its way almost everywhere in our current "Digital-Cyber World". Without it, there would be so much more non-resolvable health issues. The world we know now would be on a "low point" if you ask me. Maybe it sounds weird, but it is mostly true:)

On the other side we have humans stupidity to destroy and control. It's a shame we can't all get along. What if the aliens come? Never say never, right, we have to unite that's my point! Making ballistic missiles and things that put humans race in danger is never a good idea. So, here we really have one of the #inventions that plays both ways, represents both sides good & evil.

I also have to mention that the WORLDS LARGEST AND MOST POWERFUL X-RAY LASER is now available online! WHAT?!? Yes Online!
