Haha I feel your pain here. I remember the first time I recorded with my wife next to me, it was the weirdest thing!
But it’s definitely worth it to give it a try with someone else there. Not only does it boost your confidence in what you do but it also validates it in their eyes. And when the people around you can believe in what you doing by seeing it first hand, they’ll encourage you as well.

Wahaha! I can totally relate. My wife was in my DTube Studio (yes that's what we call it now) aka my office. And I was like 'Hun, I'm going to film.' and she looked at me like "so? go film." and I'm like "uhm...you wanna close the door?" and she closed the door and I was like "want to get out for a sec?" LOL
It's just more comfortable being crazy and saying what's on your mind when it's you and the camera :)
Yeah, for sure, man! Part of the reason I love living by myself, though I assume my neighbours think I'm crazy haha.
hahah @dnews so true. my girlfriend works from home and whenever she walks by me while i'm vlogging i just automatically pause....until she passes lol
I totally agree with you here! It's hella lonely! All those times I hid in my room when I was still at my parent's house, then outside trying to be quiet or looking around to see if there is anyone around.. And feeling totally awkward when people try to film me and do something. I really believe I do videos the best when left all alone so I can be natural in front of the camera and not stress :)

its definitely lonely. And i feel like people around me dont understand what I'm doing and then It makes me start questioning that myself. I'm going through one of those slumps rn, but like you said, it is all part of the process.

The example with your friend in the room is interesting because there is always the option of making that person the camera man and try to shoot some new angles or whatever, that can be fun. But it can also be awkward as hell lol
and if u know me, i'm damn weird! haha
lol I know that feeling all too well. I was just saying in my video today that video brings out a different side of me that I really do enjoy. That side is a bit weird and crazy and I love it buuuut... it would be bloody awkward out of context haha.
haha. I like that most of us have a weird side but also a professional side as well.
Vlogging is one niche that I haven't look into for some time now. But since following you on dtube and steemit, I think I am more motivated to dive into vlogging soonest
A good tip is film a vlog. Show it to someone else before you upload. They'll help you point out a few things.
So, is there a remedy? I'm still super uncomfortable walking around town with the vlogger lol. Doesn't help that I live in a small town. That's why I've been sticking to my fireplace background. Haha
Do it enough times and eventually your confidence will grow and you will get tired of your background and want to change it up.
Maybe watch "gary vee" on youtube. He teaches you a lot about just not giving a f**k and go do the things you want to do.
