They're Going To Build A Housing Estate In This Swamp: September 27 2019

Here is my actifit report detailing my activities for today.

They are planning on building a housing estate in this swamp

We have been hearing a lot of cutting and falling of tree noises coming from a nearby swampy area close to our residential area, the noise was not so loud before but as they are coming closer the noise is getting louder. So when I woke up this morning I decided to walk to the place to see what was actually going on since it was not too far.

As expected it was the clearing of the trees to make way for a new housing project that was going on. They were also dredging the main river but I didn’t have time to reach the main river area because I really needed to go to work and it was further off. By the time they complete dredging the river, most of the waters you see in these swampy areas will disappear and they’ll now start the building projects.

In say 10 years time you’ll be surprised to see all the buildings that has sprung up in this same place. That is how Lagos is, water everywhere but somehow they reclaim the land and build different types of structures on them.

The office today was a bit light, it gave me a load of time to do a lot of personal stuff I hadn’t had time to do that still relates to office stuff though. My desktop view is a bit messed up because I sometimes save stuff on it instead of creating a folder and saving them there. A friend of my came during close of office hours and we went home together and after dinner we rested for a while before I walked him to the bus stop so that he’ll grab a bus going home. I must say the sun was very intense as you can see me (my shadow that is) resting under a tree before crossing the road.

This song “Stand By Me” was originally done by Ben E. King but a lot of artist like Skylar Grey, John Lennon, SEAL and even performed by Karen Gibson and The Kingdom Choir - The Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. But I think since I lack a good video for the Ben E. King version of it I’ll go with that of John Lennon.

Let’s stand by Steem in these trying crypto times, don’t give up on your favorite Altcoin as there is going to be a lot of good coming with all the Dapps on it.
