My Actifit Report Card: May 4 2019

Hey Actifitters and Steemians,

I was exhausted when I came back yesterday that I even forgot to eat. Thank God it rain during the night as we slept and that made the sleep even sweeter. I had my mind set on the @cryptospa for this morning but it was as if I was starting on the wrong foot. Lol. First off I over slept, I think it has been a long time since I slept more than 9 hours, it is usually 5 to 6 hour or less. The next obstacle was that I forgot to plug in the phone to charge and by the time I woke up I had less than 7% battery. What a way to start a challenge. Lol.

I put off my phone and had my phone plugged to charge I think it charges faster that way. Next thing was to have a cold bath to fully awoken me because if I had my way I would have gone back to bed. Lol. I warmed up my herbal tea and took a glass of it and when I felt my phone battery was good to go I hit the road.

I am used to taking pictures of what I see as I am going along the road and have never thought of taking a picture of myself while walking so it kinda looked odd to me, couple with the fact that I don’t think I was looking photogenic today as I felt I still had the sleepy eyes. Lol. Anyways had to do it to fulfill all righteousness and prove that I actually did it.

I used the opportunity to check the new electric pole our community erected to supply electricity to areas not yet reached by electricity. These areas are new development settlements and individuals are building at a fast rate and we can’t wait for the government to do everything for us so we try as a community to develop our area as best as we can because we are the once living in the community.

I also discovered there was a lot of potato plants in that area so I now have another area I can go and harvest potato leaves for my rabbit. Nothing brings me to this area but because the community exco had contracted a company that sells and erect poles to come and erect it I had to come and see if it was done properly so that I’ll be guided when we meet to discuss at the next meeting date. So far everything was done perfectly well.

I went past the former play field where kids in the area used to play football but has now been sold and converted to car sales shop. In the picture I was wondering how far my hands has to stretch so that my head becomes small and you guys can see the background, the other option was to give a passerby the phone to take a picture of me. But then I was wondering if I gave a stranger my picture I hope he won’t run away with it and I have to start chasing him. Lol. At the end of the day I guess you guys will agree it is me in the picture. Please don’t mind my big head blocking the car sales depot I was talking about and for that you’ll see the picture of that below.

They have starting installing the iron fencing along the boundaries of the land. I hope they won’t cut the 2 trees in from of the land because they provide shade for pedestrians. They might feel the trees will be obstructing the view of people driving by such that they won’t see the cars on display.

My dinner – Fried Peppered Yam, Bean Cake and Tea (something light)

I had something light for dinner. Lol. Fried Peppered Yam, Bean Cake and a cup of tea. After that I relaxed with my wife and son to watch a movie. Ik guess that is a wrap for me today, I wish you all a very wonderful night rest amigos.

People complain a lot about the government not doing enough, they complain about the politicians not doing anything for them, but if we all play our part we can move the country forward. In the Estate community where I leave, we are trying our best to bring the much needed development without waiting for the local, state or federal government to do it for us. When we had issues of security in the area, people where getting attacked while coming back from work or in the early hours while going to work. The governing executives employed private guides to watch over the area and now we no longer such reports. We have been erecting electric poles and bringing electricity to new building through community efforts. Almost all the Landlords in the area sank their own boreholes for water supply. For us waiting for the government might mean digging our own graves. Lol. “So forget about the big things and take about the small things…” gradually we will get there. My song of the day is titled “Rara” by Tekno and talks about the challenges people are facing in this country.
