WELCOME TO IKOM
When we talk about banana island, Ikom should be the original banana island, because of the great abundant availability of banana.
Ikom is a Local Government Area in the tourism destination state, Cross River State
in Nigeria. located at 5°57′40″N 8°42′39″E / 5.96111°N 8.71083°E.
It has an area of 1,961 km² and a population of 162,383 at the 2006 census.
The people of Ikom are majorly farmers. Ikom is a major producer of Banana and Plantain for the Nigerian market. And that is why i said it should be refer to as the banana island.
Though i have not been to ikom before, but am looking forward to an experience of being there because i have heard so much about this amazing place from friends that have visited there.
Apart from farming it also has great relaxations spots, sites to see and also the amazing ikom beach where both young and old troop in during the summer period of the year to have amazing time with their loved ones.
Ikom is a place you will surely love to add to your list of places to visit and also the people are warm, welcoming and hospitable and they have an amazing variety of cocoa plant too.

With all that you describe and with the photography, it causes to go to Ikom Island. To enjoy such beautiful landscapes to recreate. Eat banana and try the cocoa.
