The Cost of Living in China
In the past, I made a video about my monthly expenses in China. However, my expenses may not apply to many people that move to China who have to rent apartments and pay for internet service. That is why I have provided a more detailed breakdown of the expenses you may have while living in China. These include rent, food, drinking water, utilities, transportation, internet and cell phone service.
The amount you pay for rent largely depends on which city you live in. You can vist www.58.com to check out rental prices for your city but the site is all in Chinese. If you download my Dose of China eBook (link below), you will be given quick links to check popular cities as well as translations of important link on the site so that you can navigate it yourself if you can't read Chinese.
Download my FREE eBook below if you are planning to come to China:

Great video dude.
I love learning about cost of living in different countries.
Damn, taxi and mobile data are very inexpensive.
In Greece you get like 5GB for 5 Euros or so, and taxi in in my city costs 4 Euro for around 2 km lol.
I got one question though.
How much money is the minimum salary? And taxes?
I mean life is cheap for sure but can an individual live in China with the minimum wage?
Cheers bro
The minimum monthly salary in China is around 2400 RMB which is about $350 USD.
Taxes vary based on your income. Here is a table I got from http://taxsummaries.pwc.com/ID/Peoples-Republic-of-China-Individual-Taxes-on-personal-income
It seems like its possible to live on minimum wage if you are single but if you are married with kids, it would be pretty hard.

You might survive if you are single but with not such a good quality of life.
Taxes are pretty low for a minimum salary worker.
But if you are a Steemian, some extra dollars always count.Hehe.
Yo bro thanks for the info.
Great post.
Cost of living varies in diffrent countries because of various factors. I have been to few countries like Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia and I found huge difference in the expense. You very well said income tax slab in countries vary but plays an important part in the expense of living.
