It's Still Him (An Original Poem)
We've known each other for quite a while now.
We were just comrades, oblivious to Cupid's dart.
But something happened, and I don't know how.
All the teasing and playing around, it was so different.
He told me the reason, told me he was smitten.
But I wasn't sure whether his words, he really meant.
Yet something happened, feelings for him grew.
But I wasn't ready, and I don't even know when.
Now when I think back, I regret the chance I threw.
But the more I stayed away, the more I couldn't forget.
To me, the chance of letting go just seems to evade.
While he went on, here I am. Moving on? Not yet.
He's still the one, the one I yearn for.
I keep waiting for my fate to change, be in motion,
yet my heart waits for him to come through my door.
He's not the one whose looks could sweep you off your feet.
Yet no other guy could get these feelings rid.
He's still the one who makes my heart beat.
Not even his flaws could make my love dim.
From his mistakes, I try to find a way, an exempt.
But I can't escape, 'Coz in my heart, It's still HIM, only HIM.
This was one of the poems I wrote for a friend who fell in love with her childhood friend. :3
She asked me if I could write one about her, and this was the result.

@grumpycat @bloom This may be just my own feelings, but please consider warning us first about this before flagging. so that atleast, we will know that next time we do it, we will be flagged, and result in a minus to our payouts. :( at that point then, if we persist in buying votes on the 6th day, any flags we get would be our own fault for not paying attention. Not everyone knows that voting on the 6th day is a bad thing. It was something I did because I read somewhere here before that it was more profitable for the account. I hope you understand my sentiments, and not take this reply offensively.

This stanza hits home for me.
I didn't recognize a friend's unrequited love for me; it wasn't until she moved on that feelings arose for her. Funny, how that works. Nice poem, I'll keep an eye out for more of your post.Exactly what happened to my friend as well! Really an amusing but hard situation, eh?
