We need a Steemit Police Force.
I'm really saddened and upset at what's been happening on here lately. I can honestly say I don't want to put any effort into writing a post just incase on the off chance its liked to much. Then for someone to come along and flag me for no other reason than they think I have earned to much. Someone who promoted themselfs to be judge and jury on who they choose, I'm sorry but is this fair.
How can someone decide who has earned to much when there sitting with posts that have 3 figures, when there sitting on thousands of steempower and others have a little. Who died and made you GOD. THEY HAVE MADE THERE MONEY.
Looking at my posts I have a couple that have done 3 figures that was way back when I started then few who have hit around the €50 but a lot of my posts hardly ever hit over €10 and loads of posts that make pennies. I wouldn't say I was draining the pool, I comment and vote way more than I write a post, I worked hard on here as I love this site as my last €50 post said, until now.
This flagging has got to be done properly and fairly, someone should be voted in to do it, there should be a limit especially for the big earners. There should be a post from the main men to clarify this so everyone is on the same page.
I know I'll get the comments about dealing with it, move on, don't let it bother you and the cranky posts. Thats fine we all have our opinions and mine is I don't want to put work into a post that's going to be flagged because someone who has promoted themselfs decides there right. I'll wait until its sorted.

I understand your plight but, I feel you have it backwards.
Steemit does not need a police force.
The problem is that a couple of individuals have arrogantly decided to elect themselves to be a police force and have started to moderate payouts for posts based on political reasons.
When they decide to stop policing, tensions will ease among the community and the anxiety you feel will be alleviated.
We need someone in charge to take charge and sort this out
Someone has already taken charge. So who takes charge of who is now in charge? And then what happens when those in charge of those currently in charge decide to abuse their power? Then we will need someone in charge of the people who are in charge of those who are in charge now. Lol.
Better that no one be in charge I reckon. But, that may just be the anarchist in me talking.

They were policing bots.
I do not think you know what I am referring to if you believe bots are the issue. The bots that were flagging were doing so at 1% voting power, and were all but insignificant to reward distribution.

They were downvoting some posts, because some whale's bots kept upvoting posts by some users automatically, creating unjustified payouts.

It is far more than krnel's posts that have been getting downvoted. And the reasons are not because of automated upvotes, it is because of "concentrated whalevoting by the development team" or similar bullshit.
I know that you know this already, because one of your comments was licking smooth and transisto's arse about that very issue. So on this post, it seems you are pretending not to know this and claiming that the downvotes are in response to automated upvotes.
That is not the problem here at all, and I had a discussion just yesterday with smooth when they downvoted a great post because they decided it was over valued. Nothing to do with autovoting...
I don't know why I am even responding to this message, because as I said, you need only look at your comments to see that you seem to take pleasure in causing arguments, and you are a suck up.

Meaning no offence, but I don't think it matters whether I know what you're referring to or not. You jumped on my comment and attempted to correct me by saying they were policing bots. But I was not referring to bots, I was referring to whales who have been downvoting posts that have payouts they deem to be too high.
@berniesanders and @smooth downvoted some posts by @krnel, because ( among others ) @enki and @xeldal automatically voted for his posts.

Having reviewed your comment history to answer a suspicion of mine, I no longer want to continue this conversation. It is evident that you are simply trying to receive whale votes, hence why you felt the need to tag names in your comment.
Your comments section is 50% arguing with people, and 50% sucking up to whales and curation trails in an effort to receive support from them. All it would take is for them to go look for themselves and your support that came at the cost of your dignity, will be gone.
I haven't the time to entertain such bullshit, so enjoy your weekend. In future, please refrain from attempting to turn a comment of mine into an opportunity for a whale to grant you a few dollars.

Do not worry, it is just some people gaming the system a little bit. They are small potatoes, and they can not do very much harm to anything.
The only harm they can do is making other people sad, or other bad feelings, so do not walk into that trap. Right?
If they downvote you in the future just write to my wallet and I will fix what ever problem you got into.
I have some steempower and if I do not have enough I just buy more from the exchanges.

From what I saw I do not think you know that you have an account there? You have an account there because you were an early adapter on Steemit ;-) It is the Russian version of Steemit. When you go there, change the settings to English and USD.
Your log in is the same as on Steemit, unless you have changed it. If you have, you must use what you had on Steemit before.

I really don't want this place to fail either... and I only just discovered it a short while ago.
Sadly, where there are rewards, variations of "Human Greed" invariably show up and easily seem able to disrupt attempts to create a peaceful community. I'm primarily here because I miss the days of "social blogging" and see this as a way to rekindle that. I am also tired of the "nonsense soup" that is Facebook, along with the seemingly random censorship/blocking there. "Getting paid" is a nice bonus, but not my primary motivation.

Couldn't agree more. This platform is going the way of digg. A few 'power users' decided to destroy the platform. This isn't good folks.
My solution is crowd source the flagging. All flagging goes to a que of sorts , for the community to sort out what is deserved and what isn't. Karen, being flagged is the WRONG person to be flagging. Some other person I've seen is making $50 per post for nothing, yes they DESERVE it.

However these are like living in the neighborhood, when you just get here everything is fine, when you start to grow and go well never missing a neighbor who is disturbed by the welfare of the other, passes in all areas of life.

Look how much the word has spread the last month.
In no case was a post flagged to a level that it didn't get rewarded.
Some posts were flagged, because they made an unproportionally big reward.
Look at the ones who constantly have big rewards not the ones who have an odd one

It's precisely because people have been arbitrarily given policing powers that this is happening to begin with, while steem power means these idiots have to pay money in order to meaningfully flag people it's still a problem.
I think the issue comes from the fact that flag posts get hidden so easily, there should be a threshold of some kind where you need a certain amount of people and so on before the post finally goes and then you know it's not worth bothering with for certain.
The absolute last thing we should do is randomly give out more powers to people who are inevitably going to abuse it.
The whole process needs looking into before we loose members, its frustrating.
It is, this is what happens when your an early adopter of stuff like this though, there will be problems.
