Furniture shopping then home to relax, i think i am getting old. 👵

I remember a time not so long ago when i would get excited about new clothes, bling, a night out partying, but now im older and a little wiser they don't bother me anymore, i now get excited about a night in with family, spending time with my furbabies and most of all a new pair of comfortable slippers.

Slipping your feet into your favourite pair of slippers is heaven especially after a busy day.

Me, hubby and Nick have been out furniture shopping, we didn't want to go to far or visit to many shops with hubby still on the mend and i can't do much. We decided to go to Sunderland and visit the large furniture shop there. Following Google maps on my daughter's phone we set off. It wasn't the most pleasant journey with Nick giving me instructions from the back seat. Unfortunately when we got to the store we found a pile of rubble where the shop once stood, seems Mr Google needs to update his information.

We then set off for another large store on the outskirts of Sunderland. Thankfully that store was still standing and doing business. We had a look around, as per usual we all liked different sets, i like leather they don't, they like cloth I'm not 100%, i want Black/ Silver they want something else, i want a 2 seater and chairs they want a corner unit. We left there with a couple of printouts that a sales assistant sorted for us. It has all the information about the sets we agreed on, sizes, colours and a list of the whole range.

We are going out again tomorrow to another store that sells furniture and carpets, we are hoping they may give us a good deal if we're buy both from them.

We need to measure the room to make sure what we agree on is going to fit and not take over the room. At the minute we ate sitting on recliner deck chairs, Nichola has broke hers already so she spends most of her time in her room. Deck chairs aren't very comfortable or warm, we need some furniture in and pretty quick.

We got home around 6ish. I was glad to get home lock the door to the world outside and relax. I had already sorted tea with a slow cooked Beef roast and Vegetables. Slipped my slippers on then sat down to a nice hot bowl of stew. Warm feet full tum happy mum.
