Butterflyday
Hello Steemians
Welcome to the excellent #butterflyday with
thanks to @whatisnew
Hickory tussock moth caterpillar
This caterpillar is venomous and can give anyone who touches ....
it a severe reaction.
Symptoms can range from a slight skin reddening to a burning sensation
with swelling and pain, or even nausea.
It has just been seen in my area the last few years.

What a cool caterpillar...or should I say, a hot one. LOL! It is amazing how sick some caterpillars can make you. Look, don't touch, no matter how much you want to. Great photos! Thanks for using #butterflyday tag. : )
That one if it was bigger you would want to pick it up and cuddle it... lol

I keep hearing about them, but I have yet to see one. Thanks for the reminder. Great photo.
They have been in the news here, what kid wouldn’t want to pick that up...

We never hesitated picking up caterpillars when I was a kid, and I'm sure I taught my kids that caterpillars were safe to hold in your hand. This one is a game changer!
Oh man, I didn't know any of them were venomous! yikes. Very interesting sir karbon.
I know, they are new arrivals here... and look so cute your really drawn to touch them...
