Season of My Country -India

India is well known for its diversity and climate. Every year the country mainly experiences four main seasons namely Summer, Monsoon, Atumn and Winter. Every season has advantages and disadvantages. The duration of each season is three to four months. In short, India is a tropical region.

Summer

Summer season mainly starts from April and lasts till June. Due to the tropical nature of the country, summers are very hot in some parts of India like Rajasthan, Gujarat, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh. Temperatures during this season range from 30 to 40 degrees Celsius and day length is generally longer than night length. The maximum temperature during summer is between 50 and 52 degrees Celsius.

Even though the sun is high, many fruits are grown here in that climate. For example, fruits like watermelon, cucumber, grape, banana, mango, jackfruit are available only in this season. one of the world famous festival celebrates here to welcome the summer season.

Schools are usually on vacation during this summer. Children welcome this season very much as they spend about a month and a half as vacations. Despite the heat, people travel to colder regions. Ooty and Kodaikanal in South India are the most visited places during this season. Similarly, in North India, people go to hill stations like Himachal Pradesh, Assam Tripura, Jammu and Kashmir during this season.

Monsoon

Monsoon brings relief in everyone's life following summer. Monsoon lasts for three to four months. It starts at the end of June and lasts until September. The origin of the Indian monsoon is basically the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal. The first monsoon rains in India have fallen in the state of Kerala. Some other areas also experienced heavy rains, especially in the states of Maharstra, Goa and Gujarat.

Monsoon means rain that delights farmers across the country. India's first monsoon has begun in Kerala state. Indian Monsoon usually starts from the second week of June and lasts till September. The two origins of the Indian monsoon are the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea. Southwestern part of India also sees heavy rainfall every year.

However, following the scorching heat of summer, this season brings relief in the lives of everyone, including the farmers. Agriculture in India is based on the monsoon season. But it also has its negative side. Due to floods, many areas are inundated and damage many crops and create hardship in the life of farmers.

Autumn

Post-monsoon is the most pleasant time of the year, nothing but a transition phase between monsoon and winter. During this time, it rained in some parts of India. This time is also referred to as autumn in some parts of India. The months of October and November comprise the post-monsoon season.

This season represents a mixture between wet and dry season. During this transition the temperature begins to drop slowly. However, it is the shortest season of all. Many festivals like Ganesh Chaturti, Durga Puja (Navratri), Diwali, Baidooge, Halloween etc are held during this season.

Winter

Winter season effets extreme northern parts of India etc the tempratuwill reduce up 5 degrees and in kasmir and himalayan range will be below zero degrees. People who living in the cold regions wear woolen outfit to keep themselves warm. Some are go to coastal areas such as GOA , Tamilnadu , or Kerala to enjoy the mild climate.

This season is the season of joyous festivals like Christmas, New Year and various foods. This season is perfect for picnics snow trecking, skying. Some people also travel to higher regions like Uttarakhand, Simla, Kullu Manali and Kashmir to enjoy the snowfall.

People welcome this season here as it is not too cold and has a mild climate during the enitire seson in South India. Farmers harvest the winter crops of paddy and sugarcane in the months of January and February. There are many festivals here to celebrate the harvest especially Pongal, Uttaran Vaisakhi etc.

The beautiful country of India I so much admire and love. I have heard so much about India and the beautiful culture there in that country and I am really looking forward to the day I will actually visit that place actually. The summer season tend to last more longer than one of the season in Nigeria that we call the Harmattan season also. The beautiful thing about India are you guys festival also that you always celebrate. I have witnessed some of you guys festival through movies and it is always cool.

The energy and dedication you guys always put therein is always awesome I must confess. I have even want to ask a question. How is the weather condition in India? Is it more cold in India or more hot? How do you compare the hotness and the coldness of the weather condition over that particular country because I am really looking forward to visiting that place someday .

You can visit our country you will love the culture and traditions, thank you for reading and for the great compliments

You Wellcome

You're right. The monsoon offers us food, and we are happy to export grains and other goods all over the world thanks to our industrious farmers.

I have really heard so much about India and I am really looking forward to visiting that country someday in the future to actually explore it around. And also it is so much privilege to have been able to learn the diverse seasons that is in India. It actually looks like the monsoon season that last fro 3-4 months means the rainy season in Nigeria or equivalent to rainy season in Nigeria. Take for example in Nigeria, we only have three major seasons which is the Rainy season, the dry season and the Harmattan season. I guess India season share similarities with Nigeria seasons also. I also believe strongly that India is blessed with a lot of farmers so the Monsoon season will be one of their favourite seasons then. Once again thank you friend for sharing this as I was really able to learn quite a lot from this post

Yes we both have same kinds of seasons, Thank you so much for reading and passing a valuable comment

You are really welcome. It will definitely be a joy someday to visit your country

Dear Mam,
There are four seasons in your country. You have written the seasons very beautifully. Due to climate change, natural disasters have increased due to changing seasons. Many people die due to lightning in summer in our country. So I avoid summer. My favorite season is spring. In spring the trees turn green with new leaves. Flowers bloom on trees. Your writing is very beautiful. Good luck to you.

It is so sad to hear that many people die due to lightning in summer. Thank you for reading and giving a valuable feedback

Saludos amiga!
