Living In a Box: 22 of 30 Days to a New You

I'm listenin to an audio book at the moment called Leadership & Self Deception: Getting Out of the Box.

It is about how we can experience conflict with people and how we feel justified in the fact that they are wrong. For example there might be someone at work, who you feel is lazy/annoying.

Sometimes this happens due to us actually convering up a deficiency we see in ourselves but if we open up to look at people as people then we can reduce this pain.

If you get the chance I would recommend listening to it but here is a short example of what could happen.

When you are driving do you sometimes get angry at how other drivers are? That they are being inconsiderate and that it is obvious that you had the right of way.

Next time you are in your car, try to think of other drivers as being just like you. With their own troubles and stresses. Yes maybe some of them are actual idiots but by considering them that way, you are only actually hurting yourself.
If you can think of them as people, you might approach what they do in a calmer manner. Which in turn makes your driving experience a more pleasant one.

Wow nice book. I might check that out once I went to my fave bookstore.
