Edible Yin-Yang made of Oatmeal with Raspberries

Post goes for week 59 of Food Photography Challenge, run by CCH community.

The genre of "food photography" attracts me less often than other subjects, but sometimes it is impossible to resist such a temptation. I took this photo this summer, and kept putting off publishing it. After two months passed, now it finally made it to my blog, lol.

So, this is my breakfast - a plate of oatmeal, with some milk (a little later) be added. When oatmeal floats in milk, it looks terrific - that's why I first took the photo, and then added milk... What's so special about this photo? The thing is that I didn't buy the berries at a grocery. Someone planted raspberries on the lawn in the neighboring yard (let me remind you - I live in a megalopolis!), and over several years they grew up tremendously. This year I noticed it was possible to pick up a good harvest, and I came there three days in a row and treated myself with raspberries. These fresh berries you see on my plate were picked in the city, right at the same spot I live :) isn't it nice?

I added to my blog the #monochrome version - it gives me some Yin-Yang associations which is cool. Which do you like most? I am after the original colour one.
