artist encounter

It was a while I did not post to this nice community. My bad! (I dont often come to the blockchain actually, which excuse me). This week I noticed @Steem-Travellers community suggested two awesome challenges, and I try to join both. I participate in xxii edition of the photo contest, which prompt was Microadventure! I invite @eto-ka and @may2015 and @filinpaul to participate in this photo contest.

First of all -- you see, I love cycling ...

My city is a huge metropolis, with a lot of parks, long lonely avenues, and packed overloaded historical center. I dont visit the city center at all, it suits very bad with cycling, actually - no fun for me. ( I prefer velocity! )))

So, the city center is good for admiring and photo walks, but bad for cycling and velocity. A good news is, that the city has a huge industrial zones, which look lonely and suit to my cycling purposes very well, and still have some abandoned and unpolished non-facade areas which I enjoy very much. After this lyrical prologue, let me begin the story of my micro adventure. And believe me, it was really 'micro', and really sort of 'adventure'. Happily, I was able to use my smartphone and capture some images, to memorize it.

Passing Kubinskaya Street (it is very long!), I was enjoying a warm evening light and my bike speed. When I passed the area of a park, I noticed heaps of cut weeds. I must confess I love weeds and wild grass much more than evenly cut lawns - strange but true. And it always hurts me to see such pictures, I classify them as losses. But that is not important for my story. Although, if I had not paid attention to this, it is possible that I would not have seen the rest. At a distance of 20 meters in the hollow of the park there was a small uninteresting house (probably some technical services), and next to it . . . something interesting was happening!

Here is the actual spot at Google map: @59.868277, 30.293518. I already published before the most of my pictures in this post.

I parked my bike on the roadside, approached to that house and took a deep breath: the process of creation was rolling exactly at my eyes, which was amuzing and fascinating. I love graffiti, but always see a finished result only, and never witness a process of creation. This became the 1st time I could have a look at the process, and talk to its creator - it became such a memorable experience for me.

A sad thing is, my iphone battery was at about 15-20%, it was the end of the day, so... I had no options to make a tonn of photos even technically. Besides that, you know, I am a shy person. I dared to ask the artist if I may take pictures of his unfinished work, and he agreed! I even dared if he may be intrested in having some 'reportage' pictures of him working, but he smiled at me and declined. Yeah, I should agree my little iphone did not look as convincing as big black PRO cameras. Well, anyway, sometimes the quality doesnt matter much, any pic taken does the job, triggering the memories.

A week later I was passing there again, apparently at the same evening time, with a pure intention to check his work, and it was ready. So I took one more picture of the finished artwork. And here you also may see the cutted weeds as well...

By the way! my city is full of contrasts. The greenish park area on the right matches with industrial restricted unpenetratable area on the left. Have a look and enjoy the contrast! In the photo below you can see the pipes - they belong to the Avtovskaya power station. Due to their smoke, as well as its a sunset side of the sky, the evening horizon pictures often make my bike rides very beautiful.

That is all of the story, not sure if I can add anything to it. This year I just prepare my bike to open the season -- and I guess I should check that spot to see if the art is still there.
