Sociological reflection of a destruction

“Abuses, even in the most solid state, are deaf mines that sooner or later explode.” JOSEPH SANIAL-DUBAY

I want in this publication to make an analysis based on something that particularly worries me, I am not a sociologist, but no doubt that by analyzing history, starting from a life experience, we can get to make a good point of view of something that -sadly- could happen. As some of you know, I am Venezuelan, currently living in Bogota, the Colombian capital for more than 3 years. The reasons why I decided to leave my native country?, the few options that existed as a result of the socio-economic deterioration in my country, product of the worst state policies that can be imagined.

But, beyond all that, I do not want a socialist or communist regime, NO, it is the worst thing that can happen to a country, especially if it is a corrupt government like most governments in Latin America. Well, I remember that in 1999, the population, tired of a right-wing government that they felt did not benefit them, elected a left-wing government, something like "let's try it and see how it goes for us ". And many were unaware of the reality of other countries that had gone through the same thing, and gave a punishment vote, that is, they voted against what had been there for a long time...

Well, the results are evident, nowadays Venezuela is rarely spoken of as a country of opportunities, that country that was for a long time in that space that many people wanted to visit, where everyone wanted to go to invest, that has been forgotten. Regrettably.

Well, I bring this to discussion, because currently in Colombia, country where I am and I can not complain, I have done well in general terms, I feel that something similar to what happened in my country is happening, an exacerbation of social problems, and violent demonstrations in many cities and towns, especially in the capital, Bogota. Coincidentally next year there are presidential elections, and I know from experience that as the date for electing a new president approaches, the situation will get worse.

The leftist groups, led by the would-be president of this country, a close friend of the Venezuelan government, are creating a very risky environment, worsening the situation, which in itself is already quite complicated economically and socially, to make it seem that "a change is required", and for sure, as it happened in my country, they offer the best, when it ends up being the opposite.

I am afraid that they are psychologically and mentally preparing the society to give a punishment vote against the government in power and to put in power what could be (and no doubt will be) the biggest disaster that would happen in this country. History is cyclical, this is a truth, we can take advantage of what is going to happen, anticipate the facts, but there is not always that option to take advantage of good, not in this case.

Socially things are happening that speak to me of an uncertain future, but I know that the history of this country has been very hard, and continues to be so, abuses by the state have been a reality for a long time, sadly it has been like that, they themselves have laid mines that at some point end up exploding, and it seems that in this case the explosion will be against them.

I am not a pessimist, but a realist, a social, economic and political analysis of the recent events may be more than enough to have a notion of what could very probably happen, if everything continues as it is going.

hello @josevas217,
many people believe that the solution to the problems are socialist governments that offer populist solutions to get to power and then when they come to power they cut all freedoms and aggravate the social problems they promised to solve, it is a recipe that is applied and to our detriment in America we have little memory to remember the disasters caused by socialism.

These Latin American countries are all headed for something much worse, widespread misery. I see it coming, without being pessimistic.

Greetings @josevas217, From my point of view all governments whether socialist or not have always sought a self interest, they promise to change a country bring better benefits before being in power, but sad and unfortunate that after they are there they forget what they promised, they have not taken the reins of a country someone who works, that hurts his followers and society. Greetings my friend

Yes, in general terms it can be said that politicians look after their own interests, however, countries like Venezuela and Cuba are examples of misery that are not seen in other countries under other models of government.
I hope your pregnancy is going very well, best regards.

Hello friend @josevas217.
How unfortunate to know that our sister Colombia is moving towards socialism. As Venezuelans we know that it is not a political scheme that favors a country, well for South American countries has not worked, I do not think that in this case will be the exception.
Let's hope my friend @josevas217 that the predictions for Colombia do not come true and that our Colombian brothers react in time.
Greetings my brother and success.

It seems to me that I do not think they want a little socialism, or at least some believe it would be a little, we already know that when they are in power, they stay, and the damage is uncontrolled.

Greetings @josevas217, from my humble opinion all politicians whether they are right, left or none of the above do not "SERVE FOR NOTHING", because they always seek to come to power is for the benefit of themselves, they promise and promise and when they come to power they forget their promises. I know that someone must take the reins of a country, but I hope that someone truly works for the collective good, that he works for his country.

Excellent reflection my friend.

Hi friend, unfortunately it is a sad reality, especially in Latin America, it seems that we have been hit by the worst part of politics. Let's hope that whoever wins, because someone has to win, will look out for the collective interest, I hope so too.

Hi dear friend @josevas217

I am afraid that they are psychologically and mentally preparing the society to give a punishment vote against the government in power

Unfortunately that is going to fall and I am sure that the left will win, but I am going to differentiate the left that is bad for Chavismo that is the worst that exists in the world, the left has just won in Peru, in Mexico they have a couple years, in Argentina too and those countries continue with a certain normality, I do not think that a country like Colombia is consumed by a bad government, only the Chavistas could achieve something like that and they are in Venezuela

regards

The Chavistas are a clear example of the evil they can do to an entire country, I agree, I think I would look for a way to leave this country too if it were to fall into communism...

You can find all types of governments, there those who act like they are the best even though they will steal, kill, and ruin many things just for their own favor and they will be doing everything while hiding, which is the same where I live. So whatever they promise will be a lie, they will never improve unless a miracle happens.

It is so sad to read what's happening over there, I just hope it will take any turn to a better result than what you think might happen.

Stay safe, please.

Yes friend @lennyblogs, I know, I know that some African countries also enjoy governments that stand out for the high levels of corruption and mistreatment of the population, but they do get rich, and their families, sad just to think about it.
