Read, the first commandment of the writer

Much has been written about the benefits that reading brings to human beings, since through reading one enriches the lexicon, has access to other cultures or is able to optimize educational knowledge, among dozens of other things.

In such a way that being indispensable in the development of knowledge is undoubtedly an act that must be done customarily.

It is therefore elementary that for those who do the works, through writing, which others read, the level of knowledge about the correct way to do it must be high.

For years it has been assured that in order to be a good writer, the person must be a good reader and the basis of this statement lies in the fact that education is supported in reading, for it is through reading that children develop skills to connect with the world and advance in their learning.

The primitive man emitted sounds that can be considered a language and the knowledge he was acquiring was transmitted to others until for reasons of time and circumstances were lost, perhaps this was what drove him to seek in writing a way to perpetuate that knowledge and through hieroglyphics carved in stone have come to our days.

Nowadays nobody knows how they spoke but what happened to them thanks to this.

Therefore, writing is the method to perpetuate ideas, facts, knowledge and everything related to passing through this world and it is the time machine that will make these known in the future.

So the truthfulness or the form of interpretation of them must have a good transcription and it is there where it is important the writer who has managed to assimilate a technique so that his memories ride on that steed.

And how did he acquire this ability?

Through reading.

It can be controversial but you do not acquire skills and knowledge in a particular area if not through the practice of what you are assuming.

It does not acquire skills to bat a baseball player by kicking a soccer ball, nor does it acquire skills to swim someone by basking a ball, in both cases there is targeted training for this and for a writer it is based on reading.

It is necessary to read everything, but especially what familiarizes him with literary language, since this represents the most important weapon when some text is developed in one of the genres of literature.

I recommend reading many classics and writing down in some notebook all the unknown words to investigate them and then adding them to our lexicon.

Do it calmly, calmly, focused and activating the imagination so that it allows you to be a living part of what you are reading and this impacts on your neurons, who will store it and make it available when you need it.

Reading should be a pleasant act that produces satisfaction and is capable of producing sensations that become imprints in our mind.

Here also applies the axiom that quality is worth more than quantity, with the exception that the latter does not deeply affect the final result.

If you aspire to take letters as your way of communicating, expressing yourself or showing the world your ideas, then your first commandment is to read.

And his second writing, but that's what we'll talk about in another post.
