Skiing in Austria
Long time no see! The past week I've been on a skitrip with @kryptocek and with the rest of my family and it's been so great to come back on the runs after three years without skiing! We went for a full week in Flachau, Austria where we stayed at the cutest family owned hotel located on top of a mountain!
As you can see, we were quite excited to get a week off from cold Denmark, so we were thrilled when my mom asked us if we wanted to come to cold Austria instead, haha.
The areas we mainly went skiing in were called Flachau and Wagrain and it was pretty good. Most of the runs were red, wide, and fairly steep so there was room for being challenged but still room enough not to get run over by the many other skiing people ;-)
Apart from skiing we spent the days with cooking nice food, sauna, hot chocolate, normal chocolate, and great beers (and a bit of after-skiing).
For those of you who don't know about it, @kryptocek and I have though about doing a ski-season either in Japan or Canada once I finish my bachelor in just over two years so it was good for us to get some practice!
I'm hoping we're able to go again next year but we'll have to see how it goes with my school, Dom's visa, and that sort of boring, practical stuff. Dom is a snowboarder and I'm a skier, so it would be pretty fun to go again and then switch it around.
I'm not quite sure if we'd go to the same place again as it's nice to see different places and experience different ski hills. It was pretty good but if I have to learn how to snowboard I'm not sure this would be the best place as there was only a few blue runs and not a single green run - and I'd probably need that, haha!

Yeah some other steemer told me about it a long time ago but didn't know there was an actual event coming up! No it's only three hours but I have a personal trainer on Wednesdays so I might not be able to make it :-(
