What If #NewSteem Has Always Been Here....?
It's coming....
Hardfork 21 is on it's way whether you like it or not. The top witnesses are onboard, Steemit Inc is fired up, and the community is....Preparing!
Since I've been on Steem I've seen some amazing things take place, as well as some not-so-great ones as well. One thing remained though...The passion of the community. No matter what was said about Steem, we still showed up. We still created and told the world we loved our blockchain.
Over the past month or so, one of those passionate Steemians @Whatsup has created a movement that is catching on...
It's absolutely brilliant and on a marketing level, it's very much needed.
Her idea is pretty straight forward...Everything that happened on 'Old Steem' was in the past.
Dead.
Buried.
And we are moving forward with New Steem!
(Read her awesome article right here that she wrote...It'll give you a good idea of the New Steem vision!)
And there is tons of reasons to get excited...From everything happening with the tribes on Steem-Engine, to the changes that this hardfork will bring about...There is a sense of 'cautious' excitement here that I haven't felt in a long time.
However...I'm going to challenge something about this #NewSteem movement...Because to me, and my experience...It's been 'New Steem' since day one for me :)
Here's what I mean...
The moment I discovered Steem and all it's potential. I was hooked. I also made the commitment to build, engage and accumulate all I could on my journey. When I 'understood' what SMT's were my mission was to bring my online business to Steem. I was so focused on building relationships, connections and experience..To be honest...I never even noticed 'old Steem'.
(A little note I have posted beside my computer...Just to remind myself everyday to BUILD!)
I knew it was there. And I followed lots of amazing people that kept me up to date on what was going on with Steem...But at the end of the day, I never got into any fights or argumnts. I kept my head down and just...Built!
Perhaps that's why I'm so in love with the #NewSteem concept because...Truthfully...It's all I've known since I joined in December 2017.
The potential of this place was just so...Awesome to me...I had no reason to complain. And here's why...If you get 0.001 Steem or SBD from ANYTHING you do here...It's 10000000% more than you'd ever get on traditional social media. That's what hooked me. And that's why I've gone all in on this place!
Since then...We've seen the explosion of the tribes, which has ignited my addiction even more! I spent the past month created and building the @ClickTrackProfit tribe and it's two tokens - CTP & CTPM
I'm not sure we really understand how POWERFUL those tribes that are being built right now will be in a few years from now. It's going to change everything :)
So I welcome Hardfork 21!
I'm excited to see where we take this blockchain and it's amazing communities...
As for me, my game plan hasn't changed one bit...Head down. Add value. Build!

I think that the real reason we need #newsteem is from the bad name that old steem had in the crypto world. It would be great to get a fresh start and start marketing and onboarding on the back of this hard fork. Show the world what has been built while they were looking at the price of bitcoin and we were getting shit done.
we all know how good this place is. That's why we rode out the past couple of years and grew our positions. Now we just need to get more people to see the potential on #newsteem.

I agree! I have been here since July 2016 and I have been saying and asking for all of this since day 1!!
When everyone was just making cryptos blogs I talked about how we could support all kinds of posts like photos, music, video links, and anything really..
Does Steemit want to be known as JUST a blogging site..
I also posted back then about how Steemit could save musicians and artists worldwide who may be living in poverty or just needing extra money.

Oh for sure....An artist can get a lot of support using something like Dsound and even if they get a few upvotes here and there, will be a lot more than they would get on Soundcloud...It changes so much for creators.
I agree I have brought a few drawing and painting artists here and they seemed to do well for the time they were here, but that was a few years ago before all of this innovation that is happening now!

I went on your website and tried it a bit but I do not see the link to Steem ecosystem? It seems as if you used a previous activity and tried to link it to Steem.
Could you help me out? I was trying to make some "quests" but couldn't figure out how to link my Steem account for example.

We've got the tribe up at https://www.ctptalk.com and that's part of our training module for our members to learn about content creation and the blockchain.
We will be inserting the CTP Token into our training lessons in the next little bit. But you can add your Steem username into the site and it adds it to our in-house profile pages.
