Getting Back On The Horse...Why You MUST Jump Back In The Game!

in #creative6 years ago

So for the past few weeks I've been on the road travelling across the country! In case you aren't too familiar with Canadian geography, this is a big country ;)

It can take days and even a full week of driving to reach one end of the country to the next. And as much as I tried to stay up to date with posting content and being as engaging as I could...Being on the road throws a monkey wrench into your productivity.

I have a routine that I followed since I started here on STEEM and it worked like this...

Monday - Monday Night Thoughts on @Dlive

Tuesday - The Tuesday Noob Night CryptoCast

Wednesday - The HODL Challenge

Thursday - Freestyle Topics...Whatever came to mind!

Friday - The @Dtube Book Review

Saturday - Rest and OFF the computer!

Sunday - The SportsNerds Sunday Night Talk Show + Random Thoughts

A full week! And I stuck to this schedule pretty well since I began my journey on STEEM....

However, being on the road...Well...You can just toss that schedule out the window LOL

And over the next few weeks I'll be super busy and working to get ready for the STEEM Creators Conference & SMT Summit...So August of 2018 is basically I write off for my 'routine and schedule'...

Doesn't matter!

I can hear the world's smallest violin playing because guess what...Things happen, plans change and I need to pull up the straps and get to work...

Regardless!

And that's a tough sell but it's so important for anyone that's trying to build a brand on STEEM to get back on the horse and keep posting content!

Keep engaging and by doing so, you get your name out there and people can see your passion. And yeah, I get it..It's easier said than done, especially after you take anytime off.

But your future self will thank you :)

Here's the simple truth of it all...

I can't push you to create content and engage with people on the blockchain!

There's no post on STEEM that will motivate you to keep creating after some time off...

And don't rely on the personal development gurus to keep you accountable...

This is up TO YOU!

It's the biggest nugget you will ever learn in business or in creating content...Taking action and getting back on schedule will solve 90% of your problems!

Don't wait until you feel inspired or motivated, get the pen to paper and start creating today...Whether you've been off STEEM for a week or 6 months...

Again...Your future self will thank you!

Powerful Message again. I enjoyed reading. ☺️
Its funny, maybe I am wrong but while reading this post I had the feeling that this could be from @stackin or from me. 😁

Don't get me wrong I don't mean you copied something. What I mean is that I can feel his voice or even mine in this post but as your own. I really like it and your way so far is proof of what you said in this post. Look what you have already accomplished. For me, your way can just go up. And with that, you are a great example for others here :)

appreciate that man. i’ve mentioned both you guys before in some posts because you are huge inspirations to me. i appreciate you guys blazing the trail before a lot of us newer steemians !!!

So. Remember that summer slow down we always used to bitch about? Like WTF is wrong with these people? Can't they see what they are doing to their product?

Well. This year, at least, we are both part and parcel of that. It feels pretty darn good to me, and I came back pretty good. I'm sure you will too.

Seems to me there is a reason why the corporations 'give' employees vacation time. It isn't out of the goodness of their hearts, it's cause it prevents burn out and malaise.

Glad you are back on the horse.

ya that’s true. i really did enjoy my trip. but thankful to be back!

YOU weren't that far off the horse... you still blogged... you might not have done your Dlive/DTube routine... but, changing the routine is good as well! You engaged with real people! WHAT ... real people... oh no! :) That will happen on September 5th to the 8th when you engage again with real people! Now enjoy the family time the great food and your game time. :)

can’t wait!!! it’s gonna be a blast and looking forward to meeting everyone

I bet... you will have an awesome time for sure!

Well everyone needs some time off to recharge you sorta have had that. Since you have been back you have done a post or three and some d live. You posted pics while you were on your trip so that counts as well. So saying all that you were building content while you were on your trip. So it might seem like a holiday but you were still working. Keep up the great job

Yeah. that was me just trying to play catch up lol I miss my schedule and routines. lol

Great post. Me personally will have to get on the horse before I get back on. I have to schedule a time and I have to get some helpful subject matter. But I am working on it.

oh and i’m not going to sugar coat it. finding your ‘voice’ is tough when you first get started. but do some soul searching and keep asking yourself.....what do i love. that’ll give you plenty to write about :)

Thanks. You are absolutely correct. Sometimes life takes us by but we need to get back on track and keep creating content.

it’s a hard sell for people. but once you get back at it, it’s like riding a bike :) thanks for the comments!!

Yah, you are correct @jongolson. I am looking at my future that is why I keep posting consistently and with this it makes it easy for me to post.

it’s tough man. i mean posing everyday is a challenge but engaging with others can help you jump back in the game for sure. i know it’s helped me :)

Yes, anyone of the whole 9 yards can work @jongolson.

@jongolson Sometimes it becomes difficult to follow schedule everyday, and also we get more experince and exposure outside.

that’s fair. and i enjoyed my trip. i just love staying on schedule for my work.
