Palette of Words
Dip into colors—
Gently coax the page
To reveal your lovely face
And build your portrait,
Layer upon layer,
Placing each word
And image…
You by the door in moonlight—
A cold gray tone
Under painting your presence
An angel
Leaning from a stucco wall,
Inclining your face
Toward me
The way rain in roses
Coruscates
Or sunlight
Paints your outline,
Each strand of hair
Gilt with with fire
In sunset flare.
You are the Siren
From my dreams
I’ve been to secret waves—
Saw mermaid shapes,
Dwelt with sylphs
In their caves,
But your mystery remains.
I enjoyed reading your words.
The art is nice too.....
