Life Apart from Me?
A rainy walk
Through the dark
Will cure almost anything.
I want it so much, Beloved,
For this storm to give me
Dark words of love…
The same ones
That broke your heart.
So, take off your sweater
In the dark;
Make a tiny lightning storm
Crackling with fire
And I’ll do the same:
Impulses are flowing
through my brain –
primal sparks leaping gaps
imploding with truth,
All so I can put
My arms around you.
Don’t be afraid
Of being engulfed,
Trapped and lost
In the maze of me
The world doesn’t exist
Apart from us—
It needs us
To make it mean.
So, don’t be afraid of pain
Let suffering break us
Until there’s nothing left
But gentleness.
Qué delicia este poema, @johnjgeddes! Lo he leído varias veces. Es muy erótico, sensitivo, visual. Imaginarme esa pareja en medio de la lluvia me resulta un espectáculo amoroso y húmedo. Existe el brote de una pequeña armonía que surge con la lluvia, pero también con los cuerpos que se encuentran para ser y estar en el otro. La presencia colmadora de la lluvia y del poema produce sed! Te abrazo
