Divagation About Pain and Rain
the sky away and all the leaves away,
and the trees stand. I think i too have known
autumn too long
— E. E. Cummings
There are joyful
And sorrowful strains,
Bur if you want to say
Something significant
You draw on your past
And your pain.
It’s rosary of repetitions
Where you can
Easily get lost in trivia
The fog of insignificance
And want to retreat
To a sunny beach
And get away from the rain.
...
But truth doesn’t readily go away:
It comes back to bite
In those inevitable moments
Lying in darkness
Totally awake,
A parade of images
Marching through your brain,
Mocking voices
Drowned out
By the blind fall of rain.
...
But up among the stars
Lies a sea of tears
I know it well—
It’s mine
And after all those years
I discovered rain
Somehow
Wiped the slate clean
But I still dream
Of that damn beach
And life idyllic
And struggle every day...
But I'm not giving up,
Sometimes
I even cherish
Those long walks in the rain.

A nice (interesting) change of pace, compared to what I have been reading these last few months. It is as if the background of the stage has changed and you are wandering within a new scene.
I'm looking forward to seeing whether this will lead to somewhere new.
Hard to say, my friend - I only slenderly know myself and have no insight into what I feel. With me, everything is a dream
