What a beautiful area - made me wish I was there with you - I love the ocean and that looked so lush with all the greenery - great photos!
Boy those frogs are quite noisy for night time - fine in the day but I think it would be hard to sleep with them singing all night!

Coast is always pretty, this is a more remote area from where we live with trees still where they should be not man made houses everywhere.

Tree frogs are tiny (about half an inch long) they have the most beautiful singing when in full song, not the bigger frogs those you literally have to wear earplugs at night.

It's so different there. Our frogs (what we call spring peeper) only sing in the daytime when it has warmed up a bit. that's crazy that they are that load you have to wear ear plugs! Are they very plentiful?

What I refer to as a tree frog, comes out after rain, more of a chirp type singing. Photo in my kitchen, they are small 20 to 25 mm long, it may be a reed frog I am not an expert, curious about what we live with.

The noisy ones are most probably the African Common Toad, they reside close to water no matter what pond, we have even found them in the dogs water bowl. Have a few in the garden during mating season we have gone to extreme lengths of capturing them, putting them in a shoe box and releasing them at the river a kilometer away....

These frogs are between 64 to 120 mm a lot larger... Wiki gives a great description on the sound.

The sound is a guttural "snore" repeated at intervals of about three seconds. The males call from the surface of permanent water bodies and large congregations can take place, making a "chorus".

Whoa! I had to laugh at that big guy and that they make a gutteral "snore" around any source water! Yep! I'd be moving them away too!
Thanks for sharing and those are excellent photos!

Glad you enjoyed them, I believe there are areas of giant bull frogs in some areas in USA that are driving people crazy as well....

Beautiful area. The coconut trees are aligned in series. It must take years to have this variety of Flora on the coast.
Thank you for sharing.
