Electric Toothbrushes and Flying
My dentist recommended that I switch to an electric toothbrush many many years ago, and I did. I have purchased several different brands based on price, what was on sale, and comfort. A couple of months ago when I traveled, I thought that I had lost my electric toothbrush. It was packed away in my luggage that I checked at the gate. I searched everywhere and I couldn't find it. Later as I was unpacking my luggage when I got home, I found the card that is left by airport security inside your luggage when they have searched it.
I later found out that my toothbrush was removed because of the Li ion battery which is considered a fire hazard in the cargo hold of an airplane. That toothbrush was relatively new and cost me $70.00. Even though I heard the slew of warnings that are given orally when you check a bag, I did not realize that it pertained to my toothbrush.
Anyway, I had to purchase another toothbrush while I was out shopping. I saw the Oral B Advanced Clean brand while I was in Costco but it cost $99.00 for two toothbrushes. I started not to buy it, but I reluctantly purchased it since it came with two chargers, and two travel cases. I will definitely make sure that those travel cases are used in my carry-on luggage or in my purse on my next flight.
After I charged my new toothbrush and used it, I was totally shocked at the difference in the rotational speed and the efficiency of this toothbrush. The experience reminded me of going to the dentist to get my teeth cleaned and polished. At the time that I purchased the toothbrushes, I thought to myself, "What makes a freaking toothbrush worth a hundred dollars?" To my surprise, I found out quickly.
All toothbrushes are not the same. Now I am not suggesting that you ditch your current toothbrush for the one that I purchased, I am just saying that there is a partial reason for the price, especially since you get two brushes which means that I paid less for each than I did for my older toothbrush.
My mouth feels so good and refreshed after brushing that I want to do it more often. 😃 Now if I can just remember to pack it on my person or in my carryon luggage when I fly next week, I will be doing well. Technology advances are being accomplished everywhere we look, including in our dental care.
Have a great day, and take care of your teeth. You need them to eat and speak properly. If you have to replace them, then you are talking some serious money. It is better to be proactive with your dental hygiene.

Thanks for the information. For me, this price for a toothbrush is very high. Maybe when I still allow myself such a brush
Oh yes @jluvs2fly, toothbrushes are different, but I always try to choose the best!
Excellent review @jluvs2fly and you are right, we must take care of our teeth and choose a toothbrush thoroughly!
Thanks for the characteristic of the electric brushes :) Now I believe that they are excellent. I just keep an eye on
