Camera Features and Food Photos
Yesterday I went to my digital photography class and I learned a few things. The teacher is an elderly man who has a lot of experience as a photographer. He introduced some of the common buttons on our cameras after he took a poll to see which cameras we brought to class.
I was glad that he had a Canon camera even though his camera was an older model because my camera is also a Canon. After he went over some general information about our cameras, he delved right into some of the basics in digital photography. He told us that he always left time in our class for us to share some of the pictures that we wanted to share to get feedback.
He had a card reader but I was not prepared to show my pictures to the whole class. I quickly identified a "safe" folder that contained images of my lemon tree that I took a while back. The feedback from the teacher and the other class members was very helpful.

(Playing around with bucket fill)
When class was over, he asked us to take at least five landscape photos for homework. We have to be prepared to share them with the class next week. I have an extra SD card that I plan to dedicate to class photos. I am going to go through some of the landscape photos that I have already taken to see if I want to share them or just take new pictures.
One of the things that I learned about my camera (since I haven't read the instruction manual) is that there are settings for landscape, portrait, food, and a host of other things.
(I want to learn how to remove the blemish from the cauliflower.)
I have been practicing with the food mode on my camera to see if there was any difference in the way that food looks using that setting as compared with what I have been doing on my own trial and error method.
I honestly can't see the difference yet. I also learned about some features where I can tell the camera to blur the background. I have been doing that sometimes through trial and error, but I can't do it on purpose.
I have a lot to learn and I can already tell that this class is going to be fun. The teacher also informed us that we would be taking field trips to take pictures. I am excited about the future in this class. Hopefully, my portfolio will be much better in a few weeks.

Excellent review, my friend and you made great photos of food, I am sure that the teacher and class will appreciate them highly! Thank you @jluvs2fly
Oh yes @jluvs2fly, I also sometimes take a photo, but I haven’t studied it specially, it will be interesting for me to learn about your lessons!
Very useful skills. I think you will soon know everything about photography.
You have great photos. I think a couple of lessons and you will delight us with professional shots :)
