My Actifit Report Card: January 11 2020
I flew to Washington, DC this morning to visit my cousins. I had promised to visit them before Christmas but I ran out of time and the weather was bad.
I was here in DC a couple of years ago visiting the African American museum but I didn’t get a chance to make it to my cousin’s house. It has been years since I visited them.
So much has changed over the years. Their neighborhood used to be in a somewhat isolated area along a snow route. I did not recognize the neighborhood at all. New housing developments, shopping centers, restaurants, and even transportation centers are being built.
It’s strange how quickly things can change. There is now a four or five lane road going in both directions now in front of their home. Their home was established over fifty years ago in this area. It was built by my 98 year old uncle.
We went to a local barber shop, and a restaurant today which was a lot of fun. I also had a visit from another cousin earlier. It’s a blessing to visit family in different states and catch up on old times.
