Release the Quackin'!!!

Snapped this photo of a duck floating in the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool in Washington D.C. I tried to give him/her some of my leftover sandwich, but they were not too fond of hummus. My first thought was, "my sandwich isn't good enough for you? What the duck?!" The thought of that situation still quacks me up.

In all seriousness, I found this spot to be one of the most beautiful, serene spots in all of the city. As expected, the city is constantly on the move. Whether it's commuters, city/government employees, tourists, etc. the city is always moving. However, at this spot, right next to the pool, all was calm and cool. If you ever make it to the capital, make sure you stop by, and maybe, just maybe, my winged friend will treat you with a little more decency and affability.
