To the next checkpoint // A Post Story
It had been two days since he had seen another person. Normally the race across the Rockies was pretty close. In the evenings you could see the other racers by the light from the small fires of their camping stoves. However, last night there was no light except for that of the moon, and this morning there was no sign of life anywhere.
Did he take a wrong turn?
It wasn't possible. He'd been following the GPS religiously.
It didn't take long before he came to the next checkpoint. Even before he arrived he could see that something was wrong. There was no one there. The food, the supplies, the equipment were all there - but no people. He was trying to stay calm, but he was freaking out.
Where was everyone?

Gorgeous photos ! If everyone could just look at the trees on the mountains, they'd understand just how huge the mountains are. Your person is far from the baseline of trees too.
