Fishing with the wrong kind of bait
This photo was from that one time my friend and I decided to swimming in a glacial lake. We saw all the pictures on Instagram of people jumping into lakes and wanted to get our own similar photo. We were alone so we stripped down naked and stood on the edge of the lake trying to work up the courage to dive in.
"You go first!"
"Let's do this!"
"1, 2, 3....."
While we were preoccupied with deciding who was going to go first, we missed that an older gentleman carrying his belly boat for fishing come up behind us. Then we heard a voice say, without missing a beat...
"You might want to put your underwear back on. The fish might think of those as bait."
......harsh man, harsh.

My desire, a few years back, was to jump into Lake Michigan in the middle of January. I was thrilled with the idea! I figured I could just do it!
I have been taking cold showers after my regular ones for more than 20 years now. Not a big deal...
But it never happened. My brother dissuaded me from that particular activity. And I have no regrets.
What was your body’s initial reaction? Did you prepare somehow?
