A winter like this // A Post Story
It had been a long time since they had had a winter like this, the reports were calling for another 2 feet. With such epic powder there was bound to be some idiot who decided to get lost in the back country. Unfortunately most of her job involved waiting around - until the call came in - and then she had to be ready at a moments notice, as lives depended on it. Wistfully she stared out the window at the falling snow.
The phone rang. Her heat pounded as she picked it up.
"Wanna coffee?" asked her partner, who had gone to town for provisions.
No emergency. This time.
