I understand! The times in my life when I got the most pleasure calling others were a moron were the times when I most felt like one. Now I would rage on the surface and make a big show of acting like the opposite was true but if I was alone I knew the truth. I felt less than everyone else and worked really hard to bring everyone else down to prove I was simply an equal and worthy of love.
What helped me was others loving me until I could love myself. We are all worthy of love and the world we see outside us reflects the world we think is secret inside. I am very familiar with a world were not knowing a word or getting a bad grade on a test means I am a moron.
@jerrybanfield Right arm... err... on. All of us have holes. If I had to write a book on my mechanical knowledge, I wouldn't have enough information to dedicate the forward. Our weaknesses bolster our strengths as they are entwined. That's why I take my car to the repair shop. As Steven K. Scott pointed out, we are really excellent at 8-9 areas. The stuff that we are poor at isn't the problem. It is the stuff we are good at but not excellent. That is the trap. Everyone should strive to be excellent at gracious words, like you.
