For the last two days, my head rang like a bell. Yesterday it was a little better. This morning a teensy weensy bit.

While praying for rain, hopefully snow but no, I had the chance to continue my C language binary file reader and writer.

And while I did that, I examined the way a videogame on my computer works:

Upon examination of the game files, the Login Server/Client is made in the QT 4 Integrated Development Environment.

The game itself is made in Visual Studio 2013.

The dll libraries used are DirectX 9, 10, 11.

So the answer is: No, they do not have the current technology. Civilization V was the same.

The games can only be installed on the C: drive.

They can be run on another drive.

When games are installed, the developers run a program at startup called Launcher a different one for each company which sits idle, connected to the Internet at all times.

When I was in the oilfields, an employee played a game on the company computer linked to company private network,in a wireline truck and at that time, China did not have an oil drilling and services. Within two months China had a state of the art oil industry. All software and development technology for free.

The English language and many languages have small alphabets in the count of the number of letters. The number is less than 256.
For these languages, 8 bits can be used.
In binary, 8 bits can represent all numbers between 0 and 255.

Some languages do not use letters. Those languages use a graphic for a word.

Two 8 bit data sections are put together to create a 16 bit word representing all characters between 0 and 65,355.

Can be written that fills the second 8 bits with what is on your computer and no one will know it is sent across the Internet. What is in the second eight bits can take everything you have easily. With simple programs.

So if you are in one of the countries that has an alphabet smaller than 257 letters all of your software should be changed from 16 bit to eight bit if you want to keep what you own.
