Feet Soft as Fog : A 5 Minute Freewrite

It was a cold night. The city seemed more dull than usual. There was something about it that had always attracted me towards it. May be it was its dullness, i thought, as i left the cemetery premises. I put on my hat and off i went in my Cadillac 76'. Music... i would have had loved some music at that time. On came the radio and voila, Tony Bennett's "The way you look tonight" was on..

Gosh, i missed her.. her silky hair, gentle smile, feet soft as fog when i kissed them, the warmth of her heart, the way she lifted me up when i was indeed awfully low. Why did she had to leave early... May be it was me.. I drove her crazy with my insecurities and my never ending questions.

Speedometer read 100 KMs/hour on a 60 limit. So what? I was adding some energy in the staleness of city afterall. I took my eye off of the road for a moment to get my cigarette pack from glovebox when i collided with a truck...

May be we were meant to be together, afterall..

for i was off to meet her, to touch her silky hair, to see her gentle smile, to feel the warmth of her heart, to kiss her soft feet..
Only this time.. for Eternity....

Well written first freewrite @jbn ! And welcome to this bunch of crazy creatures. You created a nice atmosphere, somehow it reminded me the movie sin city, but you made me quite sad tough..

Aaah yes.. The sin city.. Now you have said it, it does seem like a scene from Sin City (only less violent :D)

I am sorry if it made you sad, I will try to write a more cheerful free write next time. Although, sad stories and twisting ends are my genres when it comes to writing, but I will definitely try my hand at writing some funny and happy stories..

Your freewrite is beautiful as it is and it's good that you express your creativity where It flows more natural. Actually the problem is in me as I have my sensitive topics which are: 1. Husband loosing wife or viceversa. 2. Time paradoxes. 3. Cockroaches. With these you'll see me rolling on the pavement :-P

I can't promise anything. I have been known to write some really negative stories.. :D
and when it comes to free writing, I don't think I will have time to first change the way I think before jotting it down, all within 5 minutes :D apologies in advance my friend... :p
