This HDR panoramic photo was made from 36 images. This moment was captured at the historic Santa Monica pier while I was on the road shooting some Thievery Company shows in Cali.

Panoramic photos when using the right panoramic photo head for a tripod are an excellent way to get more megapixels from a camera that is not considered necessarily a full frame or a extreme megapixel body. Gigapixel panoramic images are possible with a robotic tripod head that digitally stitch together a photograph using software in your computer after capturing the image with either a basic or professional camera. Although I have always love the idea of having a robotic head for shooting panoramic photographs I have to admit that I took this photograph the old-fashioned way with a manual panoramic head calculating degrees and other various settings during the shoot.

Considering how many images I had to take to capture this photograph, I personally find it impressive these techniques were able to capture the traffic for the North bound side of PCH in such a way that there was minimal motion blur in the final image. To be fair this panoramic would not have been possible if it had not been taken exercising HDR technique as well. Although the panoramic aspect of the photo allows for more degrees or a wider range of view then what one single photo would allow, without exercising HDR technique to capture this image I would not have been able to capture the tones and shadows during the golden hour of Sunset the same way.

Photo Tip # 3: If you want to get more megapixels out of your camera without having to spend a fortune on a gigapixel camera consider shooting panoramic images to max out on detail and perspective.

As usual all my images are available in full size resolution when right clicked and opened in a new tab to use as a free screensaver or desktop. Thank you for taking a second to check out this post and comment if you have feed back ;D

How was it made from 36 imagages ? could have done that with my S7 What you linked to is barely 2mpx

I would like to see you shoot this image with an S7 and get the same results with out the help of HDR or Panoramic ;D Obviously There is a bigger sizes, not to mention more detail if you right click and open in a new tab.

Nice Picture and nice to meet you.

Hope ur having a good summer, what crypto are you into these days?

Very impressive work. I've decided to take up photography as hobbie. Any suggestions for an entry camera suited for someone not a millennial? Thanks for sharing and Steem On!

Good question do you want a point and shoot or something with a body? Whats you're budget?

I'm thinking a DSLR? Under a K.

As an investment if you want to consider what is the best camera Beyond the camera that offers the most ISO or what camera offers the fastest shutter speed per second it's good to keep in mind that the resale value of a camera is important as well.

When I go to camera forums or places where people sell used camera equipment I find that there is tons of Canon stuff for sale because it tends to be cheaper and people think that they are getting a better deal when buying a new set up, however what's really important to me is knowing Nikon specifically accelerates at making glass as Nikon's glass is used in Satellite technology and so for me that is a prime factor I consider when buying a new hammer.

Woah, 36 images? Hahah, damn im such a noob in photography.. sorry about it.. :3

Just practice, and obsession ;D
