Coriander Cool Down

in #food5 years ago

coriander cool down....png

The weather did a little bit of a turn earlier, so I decided that a creamy chicken curry sounded like a good idea for dinner... although, this post is not about the chicken curry... It is about one of my favourite sides which is so versatile, it would literally suit anything you make!

There are MANY cool down sides
that can accompany a curry dish...
from sliced bananas, coconut, cucumber and Bulgarian yoghurt -
to plenty others I am certain...

but this one...

has proven to become one of my favourites over the years...
In fact it is generally a hit with everyone...
ESPECIALLY coriander lovers.
(Coriander - AKA - cilantro / dhanya / Chinese parsley)

It was introduced to me
by an Indian friend of mine some years back,
and it literally takes two minutes to prepare.

All you need is...
chutney
italian / baby tomatoes
coriander
water

(sorry for all of you that do not live in SA and don't have Mrs.Balls hehe)
SUCKS TO BE YOU! HAHAHAHA!

But because I am not a (completely) horrible person,
here is a link to the Mrs Balls Original Chutney Recipe...
which is essentially a blend of peach and apricot deliciousness..

one more teaser before we continue...
MRS BALLS ORIGINAL CHUTNEY, IN THE FLESH!hehe

Ok, ok... enough teasing hehe ;)

right... so take a nice handful of Italian tomatoes
and slice them in half.
Throw them into a bowl.
Take about a handful of fresh coriander and chop roughly,
and add to the bowl too.

(complicated stuff isn't it!)
Add about two dessert spoons of chutney to the bowl,
and then about three dessert spoons worth of cold water,
just to slightly thin the chutney.
(you still following?!)
Stir - and you are done!!!

❤❤❤

Until next time...

Very nice Jaynielea!

This looks wonderful!

I would like to ask you what you think about the outcome of HF21 so far. Are you satisfied with the changes in the reward system for your content?

Cheers!

Thanks :) and yes it is a tasty little addition to any plate.

As for HF21 - my answer is geared and steered by a "plan" I had for myself about a year ago to make earning steem something that I could pay certain bills with and this curation change definitely assists me to get closer to that goal sooner... so yes, I am pretty happy... and you?

Thanks for your reply! For me my STEEM engagement was more of a diary for certain things that interest me or that I come across in my day job. I never saw my posts as a means to make lots of STEEM neither on the curation side either. I played around a little with bid bots and upvote services but really never with significant monetary success. I guess the stuff I post is a pretty small niche on here too (infosec, opsec, privacy and at times AI) so I did not expect big earnings but now I’m questioning a little effort vs. return and up until now this looks pretty dire. I just wanted to hear/read from you and other accounts that I follow closely what you and the others think about the results in the after HF21 “world”.

I hear you. At the end of the day I am of the opinion that those who say the earnings mean nothing to them on any level are complete hypocrites and liars. Yes, the community and experience is wonderful too but C'MON HUMANS - be honest!!!!! Everyone wants to earn better here!

As I have mentioned in several posts over the last two years - I closed my 11yr old business and jumped into the unknown here, so I absolutely DO rely on higher earnings here... because, well - my family and I like to eat HAHAHA and I would also like my son to get a decent education. I would like for my efforts here to pay for those. I do not think that this is an outlandish request. Blog posts require hours of effort and time is money - it is as simple as that. Considering that "blogging" is my full time thing now, I most definitely DO want it to be profitable - what kind of fool would I be to state otherwise.

So, yes - because I have been here for some time and have blogged my way to a decent level of SP, I want my hard work, to start working for me and the shift in curation rewards absolutely gets a thumbs up from me.

At the end of the day, I think it is very much an individual thing. It depends very much on your primary reasons for being here, what you are worth and where you are going :)

Thanks again for your reply and insight! Very much appreciated!

I agree 100% and I wish you continued success with your blogging activity here. I enjoy your content very much and this is the case for many others too!

I have no doubt that your efforts will pay out for you!

No need to say this to you because you’ll keep producing wonderful content but... #STEEM on!

Cheers!

My pleasure :) And thank you very much for the well wishes and the compliment xxx
