Looking for beauty in a world of brown - TreeTuesday/Actifit: November 5 2019
We have beautiful seasons here in Minnesota. The only one that is particularly trying for me is the late fall and early winter. It is that difficult time when The leaves have turned Brown and fallen from the trees, and there is no snow yet to brighten things up.
But I really tried to enjoy this monochromatic landscape around me on my walk. Surprisingly, when I really looked at the patterns of the trees against the sky, I saw more than the brown.
I saw really beauty in the barren trees and quiet leaf-scattered roads.
I found myself capturing these scenes in images that somehow gave me a whole new appreciation, as if the act of taking pictures turned these brown scenes that I might even have described as desolate or sad into art that I can enjoy.

When the world gives you monochromatic, I often go for monochromatic images ;) That's a legit way to not suffer the loss of colors. Other things to focus on. Shapes, shadows, contrast, lines...

Funny how some of these very leafy trees are stripped bare during this time of the year.

I totally understand what you're saying! I was just remarking today how since the leaves were knocked down prematurely due to rain, that there is just no color. But the skies at sunset have been particularly colorful and have made the perfect backdrop for those leaf-less trees. Just as your pictures show, too. Lovely landscape walking silently on a carpet of leaves, slowly wilting into the soil enriching the ground to feed the tree through winter Jayna.
Expression in the light showing trees waiting to embrace the next season, we have started with rains, mosquitoes are back again, along with humidity, not my happy time of the year, I prefer winter.

Good amount of steps when others start hibernating. Northerners like us really have it good with the evergreens in the winter. Otherwise it really could be just brown and white everywhere.

We're not quite brown and barren yet, but it'll be soon. We've still got a few more good weekends.
Funnily enough, I dislike outdoor summer photography for similar reasons - too much green!
true, watching tree's sometimes made you emotional. Sadness and happiness can mix into it.
