Happy Happy Friday! - Actifit: Card: October 11 2019
Wow, guys. Super busy day. I had people over this evening for wine and food and laughter, and have almost nothing left to give. But I had to report my steps for the day and share a little something!
Today I said goodbye to my garden. The cold weather is moving in, and it is time to bid farewell to a garden that has sustained me all summer long with its beautiful flowers and birds and bees and butterflies!
Thank you for visiting!

You really did great work on the garden.
Why do good things have to go? Nature.😍👍👌

There is such a drastic change from spring, summer and fall... to winter! While the first snowflakes of the season may be beautiful, soon icy roads and/or snow-drifts affect the safety of driving, and sometimes we won't be able to go anywhere. From pretty butterflies to the unavoidably dirty floors in the supermarket from the slush constantly being tracked in.
These are just some of the things that used to depress me about winter during the time I lived in the north. Winter seemed to me to be a temporary "death" to everything wonderful about life.
Where I live now, (and where I'm meant to be), the coldest we generally get is in the 40s, but everything is still green and pretty, which keeps me happy.
I completely understand, @free-reign. I used to live in a very damp and gray climate, and I could not handle it at all. When I moved here, I was concerned that I would have the same problems with winter. Instead, I absolutely love it! The intense seasons are amazing to me. I love the snow, and I go out walking in it as much as possible, and there is something so magical when the sun comes out and shines on the snowy landscape.
That said, I would have been totally fine meeting a man from down south where it’s warmer, instead of my husband who is from Minnesota! 😆
