TreeTuesday walk - Actifit: October 8 2019
Ah, the best-laid plans! I went out on another fall color walk today after work, in attempt to find the most brilliant fall colors, all illuminated by that lovely gold-red late-day sun! I had made a similar attempt yesterday, but the sun was setting by the time I go out there, and I only got a few shots before the setting sun dipped down and the glow was gone.
So today I got an earlier start by about an hour. Wouldn’t you know it? New challenge: there was a haze in the sky that muted the intensity of the sun on the leaves.
You wouldn’t think this would would be a big deal, and that I have plenty of opportunity to get out and photograph fall color, especially because only about 25% of the trees have actually turned thus far. But I feel like I have short window of opportunity here. We have had so much rain that it always seems to be just around the corner. Not only that, but we are starting to hear that snow may be coming as early as this weekend.
Anyway, without further ado, here are the results of my #TreeTuesday #photowalk efforts today.
Note that it will probably take me two tries, as usual, to load all my pictures, so it’s best not to read it in the first 15 minutes after I post because I usually have to take a second pass! (Yesterday someone downvoted my fall color walk post. Do you suppose that was why?)
This one was a very tall tree that I could only judt barely see peeking through some others along the trail.
