My Actifit Report Card: January 3 2019 - Healthy Food Part 2

I was going to talk about supplements that support weight loss but I’m going to save that for another day.

Last night I wrote about healthy food and how I’m losing weight. The two things really go hand in hand. Exercise improves your metabolism but food is just as critical. It either fuels you or slows you down. Processed food, sugar, excess carbs etc. all make a difference.

My recommendation of the day is to start replacing sugar and processed foods with healthy snacks like nuts in small quantities, fruits like apples, bananas and grapes, and vegetables — especially green leafy ones, carrots, peppers, etc. Just get started! Don’t try to change everything over night if you are not used to it!

Absolutely, balancing exercise and portion control is the only way to lose and/or maintain weight. If you find you don't have time for a full 2 hours a day at the gym have a look at a HIIT (high intensity interval training) workout. You can start at 10 or 15 minutes and work your way up. Keep it up!

That’s a great idea. I am doing a modified version of that. Maybe “working up to it” is exactly what I’m doing. If I can get to my goal weight and achieve decent body tone I will be so thrilled. Fortunately I’m only taking off ten pounds, but it feels like a major deal at my 50-something phase of life!

I haven’t figured out which of the two things is making the most difference, but the combination of exercise and a great diet are amazingly powerful. My extra pounds are melting away!

Oh man, I read this right as I was tempted by this chocolate that's been sitting here all day and I've been actively avoiding it.

But by nighttime, the willpower is sooo weak haha.

You're so right though, it does make all the difference.

Glad I could help! Ha ha. I am not opposed to a piece of chocolate, actually. It’s not a terrible thing, and extreme diets of any kind are hard to maintain. The trouble is that it’s hard to eat just one little piece!

I think we should include Good health supportive foods not junk and along with this some exercise but you are going well @jayna and thanks for this post keep it up
