#Hashtag -hashtag inception-

in #help10 years ago (edited)

So, I've noticed that a lot of people are now including links to hash-tags directly in their posts.

My question is... why?

Is it actually helping with getting your posts out there and viewed more? If anyone has a direct response to this I am very interested in hearing what you have to say about it.

It helps the readers of an article to see other articles with the hashtags you chose, because you don't see the tags the author wrote in the tags-line of the article (maybe this should be improved for the platform).

I've performed a test to see what really happens and got my answer. Feel free to check it out if you'd like, right here: https://steemit.com/hashtaginception/@jayjustmay/hashtaginception-mystery-solved-no-2

That's what I hear, that hashtags help with the exposure on this platform

right, but when you make a post otherwise known as "submit a story" there is already a space at the bottom to use tags. So what I'm wondering is...
Has someone decided to put hashtags into their post and then other people are just playing follow the leader (which is probably what's happening)

or

Do all these people know something I don't know... because I'd like to know too!

Anyhow, thanks for your reply. I truly do appreciate your input.

I been putting hashtags in posts too and it does help too @jayjustmay!
