If creation of resources were created by the Buddy team alone, growth rate will be relatively slow, might lead to a stand still and they might not be able to meet the needs of all users. This will lead to Buddy losing users, rather than growing.
Also, opening up the marketplace will ensure that multiple solutions of the highest quality are made available, thereby ensuring that third party developers stick around, as Kong as they get rewarded for their efforts.
